CASEMENT WINDOWS
WHAT IS A CASEMENT WINDOW?
A casement window is hinged on the side, allowing you to open them outward by turning a crank. Usually, they are taller than they are wide and offer complete ventilation top to bottom.
WHAT IS A AWNING WINDOW?
An awning window is hinged on at the top. This option is great for bathrooms or above kitchen sinks.

Polar Seal Fast Facts:
We refer to these as our Royal Seal windows. CLICK HERE for more Royal Seal info.
Most vinyl casement windows are big, bulky and ugly. They reduce glass area, limit your view and look like old-fashioned “plastic” replacement windows.
Our 70 plus years in the window business has taught us that casement windows (sometimes called crank outs) can be beautiful. We utilize a sleek, slim and trim vinyl profile. Our casement windows look more like a traditional wood casement.
- The crank hardware is warranted against corrosion and is time proven to provide many years of effortless opening and closing.
- Double rubber gasket seals, made from material that won’t dry out in the sun and protect from wind and rain. Inside things stay warm and dry.
- Tandem operating locks for security and optional folding crank handles that won’t interfere with curtains, drapes or blinds.
- Sight lines match up with adjacent Polar Seal picture windows too; a demand of top architects.
