WINDOW OPTIONS & ACCESSORIES
COLOR OPTIONS
Our colors are fast, but they don’t run. They are solid vinyl exterior cladding with color clear through. Choose from 3 colors or 4 wood grain finishes inside and 6 different colors outside.
GLASS and WINDOW OPTIONS
Grids
Polar Seal offers more grid options. All our grids are internal (in between the panes of glass) so you don’t have to clean around them when washing windows. Choose from flat, split color, contour, or wood interior grids (or muntins) in colonial (square) or diamond patterns.
V-groove
V-groove glass is beautiful. It adds an element of sophistication to a room or a particular window. V-groove also comes in colonial or diamond patterns, as well as Double Prairie (double border around the edge of the glass).
Tinted
Bronze, gray or bronze solar cool (almost mirror like) tinted glass options give you protection from bright sun or nosy neighbors and can be selected for any Polar Seal window.
Obscure
Often referred to as “frosted”, obscure glass is a translucent glass, which allows light in, but prevents outsiders from seeing inside. It’s perfect for bathrooms or any room where you desire this effect.
Tempered
Building codes control where and when tempered (safety) glass must be used. If broken, tempered glass splits into thousands of tiny pieces and can reduce possible injury. While tempered glass can add to the cost of a window the safety factor can be well worth it.
Low ‘E’
This glass is commonly known as the glass that filters out ultraviolet light. It helps to slow fading of carpets and drapes. Low ‘E’ is also a heat reflective coating within glass that raises the R-value (insulation value) of glass. It bounces heat back to its source, whether that source is the sun in summer or your furnace in winter. You stay more comfortable and save money on heating and cooling your home. Polar Seal uses the best Low ‘E’ glass for our area. >Read More.
Argon Gas
When injected between two panes of glass, Argon gas is completely invisible, yet it slows down the conduction of cold from outside to inside, again increasing the R-value of glass.
Blinds in Glass
Blinds in Glass installation means you’ll never need to dust your blinds again. And the protective layers of glass prevent damage from everyday use. Learn more – CLICK HERE..
Triple Pane
Triple pane glass is an available option. Triple pane glass can further reduce temperature transfer through the glass unit. Please ask your sales representative for more details.
ACCESSORIES
Screens
Polar Seal uses anodized aluminum screen wire which won’t sag, corrode, fade or tear like fiberglass screen wire. Extruded aluminum screen frames also add strength.
Our bug protector is made from the same material as our weather stripping so it won’t dry out or discolor. Stainless steel pull-tabs and springs designed to last for what seems a lifetime.
Full screen adapters fit neatly into place and allow for simple removal and replacement of a full screen. These extra adapters are something that most competitors don’t even offer.
Nailing Fins
All Polar Seal windows and doors have nailing fin availability. Some have a built in J-channel, some are extruded onto the frame itself. Some will be miter cut and installed on the window at the time of shipping, others must be installed at the job site. Whatever your need, Polar Seal has the solution.
SuperSpacer®
Your window needs a warm edge and it won’t come from metal. That’s why Polar Seal uses Super Spacer® TRUE Warm-Edge™, a silicone foam air spacer between the glass which diminishes the chance of condensation or sweat occurring. Reduces heating costs and chance of seal failure or clouding. Plus, it’s 18% quieter than traditional metal spacers at reducing outside noise. >Read More.
Screws
Polar Seal features ALL stainless steel screws. You will never see rust on a Polar Seal window. We even use zinc plated stainless steel screws with our casement windows so they don’t react with the specially-plated hardware.
